I had SO much fun photographing Kaitlyn and Colton’s engagement session at Petrifying Springs Park near my hometown of Kenosha. Between the sunset, the immaculate fall vibes, and these two’s fun and bubbly energy this session was absolutely perfect !
Why Kenosha for a Session
Kaitlyn and Colton traveled all the way from Madison Wisconsin for their engagement session, and when you start to take a look at what places in Kenosha have to offer it’s easy to see why ! I actually have a whole blog about my favorite locations in Kenosha for an engagement session, and no surprise Petrifying Springs is at number one. Since moving here I have completely fallen in love with the city of Kenosha and its surrounding areas and have had the BEST time photographing all sorts of sessions here. There’s SO much charm and character to the city itself, and when you head out of the city limits to explore some of the natural Wisconsin beauty it really starts to take your breath away ! If you ask me, Kaitlyn and Colton made the best call possible coming here to have their engagement session.
Their Engagement Session at Petrifying Springs Park
When we got to the park we immediately headed off the paved path to a more scenic and adventurous path along Pike River that runs through the park. Immediately Kaitlyn and Colton were having SO much fun in front of the camera together, they both have such infectious smiles and were a blast to work with throughout their session ! Later on during the session we made our way to a clearing where the sunset started peaking through the trees and the fall leaves which was absolutely gorgeous. After a bit of dancing and frolicking surrounded by the colors of the fall we finished their engagement session at Petrifying Springs Kenosha with a few portraits by the Biergarten located in the park.
