Fall Wedding at Riverside Receptions | Olivia + Luis

Today’s article is a little trip down memory lane for me as I get to relive the last wedding that I documented in 2024 ! Olivia and Luis celebrated their wedding in the fall at Riverside Receptions in Geneva, IL, and what a wonderful day it was. The last wedding of the season is always a bit bittersweet, but these two definitely helped to emphasize the sweet part ! 

The Beginning of Their Wedding Day at Riverside Receptions

Both Olivia and Luis spent the morning of their wedding day getting ready with their closest friends and family. It was a beautiful start to the day where these two could share in this amazing moment with their favorite people before their wedding day really got underway. Soon though, it was time for their first look which was just the sweetest ! Luis even teared up seeing Olivia in her dress for the first time. Such a beautiful way to start their day together, after which we had time for some couples, family, and wedding party portraits outside the beautiful Riverside Receptions in Geneva. It was a cool fall day, and the secret garden space of the venue really lent itself perfectly for the fall vibes we were after !

A Riverside Wedding Ceremony at Riverside Receptions

The first floor ceremony space of Riverside Receptions features wonderful views of the Fox River running behind it that acts as the perfect backdrop for a wedding ceremony. The simple, elegant beauty of the space is ideal for wedding ceremonies as it is strikingly beautiful without being too over the top. This meant that Olivia, Luis, and their guests could be fully present in the moment itself, and boy were they ! The emotion, the love, the joy, you could feel it all in the air, and see it on the faces of everyone in the room, especially Luis who teared up again as Olivia walked down the aisle ! After officially becoming newlyweds the two joined their loved ones for a fun filled cocktail hour before it was time to head upstairs for their reception.

Dancing the Night Away

Riverside Receptions’ reception space sits on their 2nd floor and also looks out towards the Fox River. It’s a beautiful space in and of itself, and the fact that it sits completely separate from the ceremony and cocktail hour spaces make wedding days here flow SO smoothly. Olivia and Luis’ day took full advantage of this, one of the many reasons their day came together perfectly ! 

Much like the rest of the day had been, Olivia and Luis' reception was a non-stop ride of joy and excitement. The night began with an epic entrance straight into the cake cutting for the newlyweds, after which we got to enjoy some incredible toasts from their loved ones. Following a delicious dinner came the first dances, which then opened up the floor for a night of seemingly endless dancing !

I’m so happy to have had the opportunity to document Olivia and Luis’ incredible wedding day at Riverside Receptions in Geneva last year !
