Brooke and Nate are something else ! They’re so sweet and just show so much love towards one another and their people. I had the pleasure of also documenting their engagement back in July of 2021, so being able to keep in contact with them all throughout their wedding journey was SO much fun. These two are just such sweet and fun loving humans so being a part of their wedding day at the historical Legacy Building in El Paso Illinois was such a cool experience.
Weddings at Illinois Historical Buildings
Illinois is home to SO much history, and thus it is full of so many beautiful and historic wedding venues all throughout the state. Weddings like the Dawes House in Evanston Illinois, the Lehman Mansion in Lake Villa Illinois, or even some of the historic buildings just over the boarder in my new home of Kenosha like the Stella Hotel and Ballroom are perfect options for couples with a love for history.
The Legacy building contains so many beautiful spaces and so much history you really cannot go wrong with the space. The building was built in the 1800’s was originally an opera house. The unique space is now a wedding venue and event space, preserving all of the great characteristics and quirks that you would love out of having your event in a historical building.
Brooke and Nate’s Intimate Wedding
Brooke and Nate spent their day surrounded by loved ones and enjoying one anothers company. The two took their time the morning of their wedding getting ready, and taking photos with each side of their wedding parties. There are so many great spaces for taking wedding party photos indoors at the Legacy Building which made their wedding day very relaxed and low key. They decided to wait until their wedding ceremony to see eachother for the first time which made for a really special moment when Brooke began walking down the aisle. Being able to share the first time they saw one another with their friends and family made for such an sweet experience.
Photos and Reception in their Historic Wedding Venue
One of the best parts of having your wedding day in one of Illinois' many historical buildings is that you are able to create some really breathtaking photos with your photographer. Exploring your venue for your wedding portraits, walking the streets surrounding it, and making some magic in all the unique nooks and crannies the space provides make for really amazing and one of a kind photos.
If you’re planning your wedding day at a super unique venue like Brooke and Nates Intimate wedding, I highly recommend using their photos as inspiration as you begin to daydream about your wedding day!
