Ashton Hill Farm Wedding | Bailey + Jesse

Bailey and Jesse’s wedding day at Ashton Hill Farm in Galena was such a sweet day to be a part of ! The two put together such an incredible experience with so many special and intimate moments between the two of them and the people they care about the most. They included the perfect amount of small details to make their wedding day truly feel like them and even with a little bit of rain they still ended up with the best wedding day experience !

Getting Ready

To start their day off Bailey and Jesse got ready separately from one another so they wouldn’t see each other prior to their first look. Bailey got ready with her bridesmaids who all wore matching pajamas the morning of the wedding day which was so much fun. Bailey’s bridesmaids also wrote her love notes on the bottom of her wedding shoes which was such a cute and fun personal touch for the day. The best and most special detail though was Bailey’s robe as well as parts of her wedding dress were actually made from her mother’s wedding dress ! Jesse spent his morning similarly, getting ready with all of his groomsmen. These guys were a RIOT and had so much fun relaxing and getting ready for their wedding day at Ashton Hill Farm.

First Look and Wedding Portraits

Once both Bailey and Jesse were ready it was time for their first look. First looks on a wedding day are such a fun and sweet moment as it’s one of the few moments on a wedding day where the bride and groom get some true alone time and I’m so glad Bailey and Jesse took advantage of this. It was so sweet capturing both of their reactions to seeing one another for the first time that day ! After the initial excitement, we spent some time walking around their gorgeous venue for some portrait photos.

Ashton Hill Farm in Galena is such a beautiful venue and serves as a perfect blank canvas for a wedding. Bailey and Jesse decorated the grounds with blush-toned flowers, gold and pink accents, and so many other beautiful details throughout the venue’s grounds. After the two got the wedding portraits they wanted we opted for some wedding party photos prior to the ceremony so that they could spend time with their guests after !

Wedding Ceremony at Ashton Hill Farm

Once it was time everyone gathered around for their outdoor wedding ceremony. The ceremony space was beautifully decorated, and with the flower-covered arch and rolling hills behind it the space really felt like something out of a movie. Bailey walking down the aisle in her wedding cape really took the cake though and was such a breathtaking moment to capture. Once the ceremony was over and the two were officially newlyweds it was time to start their cocktail hour. The overcast we had on the wedding day quickly turned to rain though so everyone headed inside Ashton Hill Farm’s venue before the reception, which actually ended up being such an intimate experience for their wedding !

Indoor Reception

For their indoor wedding reception, Bailey and Jesse decided to bring their wedding arch inside and hang a neon “cheers” sign behind it to make for a beautiful and fun photo setup. Bailey wore her wedding slippers for the reception which was such a fun touch to the day and made for a much more comfortable evening ! Between cutting the newlywed cake, speeches from friends and family, and a lovely first dance in front of Ashton Hill Farm’s massive windows, there was SO much to love about their wedding reception.

Bailey and Jesse’s wedding at Ashton Hill Farm was truly a special and heartfelt day and I am beyond excited that I was able to be a part of it. With the help of their vendors, their friends and family, and most importantly the two’s love for one another they created a day perfect for them that they’ll be able to cherish forever.
