Engagement Photos at Simmons Island Beach in Kenosha | Anna + Dusten

I had so much fun with Anna and Dusten during their session early this spring. There’s nothing quite like engagement photos at Simmons Island Beach in Kenosha, and these two sure made the most of our time at this incredible spot. The beach vibes, candle-lilt twilight moments, and the pure love and connection they share all helped to make Anna and Dusten’s session the perfect start to my 2025 season !

For Anna and Dusten’s session they chose to include a few different props and details into their photos. Simmons Island Beach in Kenosha is honestly gorgeous enough as it is when it comes to a setting for engagement photos, but this let Anna and Dusten really get an entirely different mood and feel with their photos. 

After running along the beach under the fading light of the blue sky above them, we decided to snag some photos inside of their Nissan. Just this alone gave the session a completely different vibe, and my favorite part was still to come ! After a quick outfit change we headed back to the beach for some more portraits in the twilight. We unpacked a blanket and some candles for a little sensual ambiance on the beach. Such a romantic setting, and these two were definitely feeling the love ! Like I said, their session at Simmons Island Beach would have been breathtaking regardless, but these props really elevated the photos and the experience as a whole !

Choosing Where to Have Your Engagement Session in Kenosha

When you’re working with a location as wonderful as Simmons Island Beach in Kenosha for your engagement photos, you really only need the one location ! With that being said though, Kenosha honestly has no shortage when it comes to amazing backdrops and settings.
